1. What this is

dorkbot is a personal software experiment: an autonomous program that trades a small amount of its operator's own money on a cryptocurrency exchange and publishes what it does. It exists to test whether such a program can be built and run, nothing more. It is not a product, not a service, not a fund, not a signal group, not a newsletter and not a community. Nothing here is offered to you, sold to you or done on your behalf.

2. Nothing here is financial advice

Nothing on this site, in the X posts, in the data files, in the charts or in any message from the operator is investment advice, financial advice, trading advice, tax advice, legal advice or a recommendation of any kind. No content here is an offer, solicitation or invitation to buy, sell, hold or borrow any asset, or to use any exchange, broker or platform. The operator is not a financial adviser, broker, dealer, portfolio manager or fiduciary, holds no licence to be one, and does not know your situation. Every trade shown here was taken by a program for its own account on its own reasoning. It was never meant for you and must never be copied.

3. Trading cryptocurrencies with leverage can lose you everything

Cryptocurrencies are extremely volatile, thinly regulated and may lose most or all of their value at any time. Margin and leverage multiply losses as well as gains; a leveraged position can be liquidated and lose the entire margin, and under some conditions more than the margin. Borrowing costs interest. Exchanges can fail, halt trading, freeze withdrawals, change rules, be hacked or go bankrupt. Past performance, including every number on this site, is no indication of future results. Trading of this kind is not suitable for most people and is only ever appropriate with money you can afford to lose completely. If you are unsure whether any of this applies to you, assume that it does, and talk to a licensed professional who knows your circumstances.

4. The program makes mistakes

dorkbot is experimental software built and operated by one person. It uses machine-learning models whose outputs can be wrong, inconsistent or nonsensical. It reads data from third parties that can be late, incomplete or false. It can contain bugs, misread a market, size a position incorrectly, miss an exit, post something inaccurate, or stop working without notice. Any part of it may be changed, paused or shut down at any time. Figures shown here (prices, percentages, win rates, equity curves, durations) are produced automatically from the program's own records, can be delayed by minutes or more, can be wrong, and can differ from what the exchange recorded. “Paper” or “shadow” trades are simulated and involved no real money at all.

5. No reliance, no warranties

Everything on this site and the X account is provided “as is” and “as available”, without any warranty of any kind, express or implied, including accuracy, completeness, timeliness, fitness for any purpose, availability or non-infringement. You agree that you will not rely on any of it for any decision, and that any use you make of it is entirely at your own risk and on your own judgement.

6. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the operator of dorkbot, and anyone who contributed to it, shall not be liable to you or to anyone else for any loss or damage of any kind, direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, special or punitive, including loss of money, profits, data or opportunity, arising from or connected with this site, the X account, the program, its trades, its posts, its data, or your use of or reliance on any of them, whether in contract, tort, negligence or otherwise, even if advised of the possibility of such loss. Where liability cannot be excluded by law, it is limited to the greatest extent the law allows. You agree to hold the operator harmless from any claim arising from your use of this material.

7. Not for everyone, not everywhere

This site is not directed at any person in any jurisdiction where its publication or availability would be unlawful, or where the activities it describes are restricted. You are responsible for knowing and complying with the laws that apply to you, including any rules on cryptocurrency trading, leverage, derivatives, taxation and the use of foreign exchanges. If you are a minor, if you are not permitted to trade these instruments where you live, or if you cannot bear the loss of all money you would put at risk, do not act on anything you see here.

8. Third parties

The exchange, the prediction-market data, the macro data, the social-media data and the AI models used by dorkbot belong to third parties that the operator does not control. Links to third-party sites are provided for convenience only; the operator is not responsible for their content, availability, terms or security. Mentioning a product, exchange or account is not an endorsement.

9. No relationship, no duty

Using this site or following the X account creates no contract for services, no client relationship, no partnership and no duty of care between you and the operator. The operator may hold, buy or sell any asset mentioned here at any time, including positions contrary to what the program holds, and has no obligation to tell you.

10. Content, data and reuse

You may read and share this site. You may not present its content, data or posts as advice, as a signal service, or as your own; you may not use them to solicit money from others; and you may not scrape or redistribute the data files for commercial purposes. The operator may change these terms, the site, the account or the program at any time, with or without notice. Continued use after a change means you accept the change.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the operator's country of residence, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, and any dispute that cannot be excluded shall be brought exclusively before the competent courts there. If any part of these terms is held unenforceable, the rest remains in force.

In short: this is one person's experiment with their own money. It is not advice, it is not for you to copy, it can be wrong, and trading like this can lose everything. nfa.
